(The reclaimed don't need to eat, but most of the village is in shambles. Maybe something to knock a few of the real bad houses down and make somethiing respectable? )

The Reclaimed have some memories of this place, and enough desire exists in their burned souls to want to make this outpost a proper settlement. Some of the houses along the southern side of the lake are too run down from The Scream and from exposure to the elements to be good for much of anything again, and the two reclaimed look to be gathering tools to head down there for demolition and reclamining work.

(I got inspired by the monthly news post, if it's OK to pivot ideas. Connecting IA to the other IS polities by establishing a safe, standard route, like was mentioned in the AYT piece)

(sure. IA has a few naval ships now. Just need you to take a look at the map, and lets plot a route.)

(Would Spike-3 be a good assumption to make for route-finding? or stick with Spike-2?)

Deciding to change tact, Adrian sees the message from Galnet as the workers come to rest after a long day of trying to clean up the reclaimed settlement. There are many interested parties looking to blaze a trail between the Inheritor Alliance, and those of the wider universe and the polity has decided to try to complete a major trek like this in an official capacity. This endeavor will be more than simply sailing a ship into federation space. The worlds in between are dangerous places. Many of them are unexplored, and there is no telling what may become of ships or crews traveling there. In each of these places, ships will be forced to scoop their own fuel- as there are no shipyards available, forcing a trip that would normally take three weeks, to take four times that from beginning to end. If trade and the movement of peoples is to become routine, this is something the Inheritor Alliance must change. Adrian sees his application is accepted, and he is required to report to Dremlas at all possible speed to meet the lander that will take him to space, and to his next adventure.

Adrian hops on the first transport available to Dremlas and settles in for the journey

One of the three Condor vessels the Inheritor Alliance Navy commands has been selected as the vessel that will undertake this run south to the Protectorate. Your transport to Dremlas has you ferried into a cargo lighter, which brings you to orbit to dock with the mighty vessel. This is a fairly new ship, re-captured from the Rachk warshard by the Northern Free State Singularity and given to the Inheritors after an intense refitting program. Ultimately the good will the NFSS hoped to gain for itself was washed away by the recent Inheritor declaration of independence. The crew is new, this will be the most time they have ever spent on the ship, but all are eager to make history. As a polity agent, you have nominal command of the vessel in matters of charting a course and deciding on the actions the ship will take. Executing them and carrying them out remains the responsibility of the crew.

Adrian makes the rounds and gets to know the crew before heading to the bridge and informing the captain of the plotted course (Saliv -> Leucipp -> Albadie -> Laos -> WEC5G-8 -> Svalfdi -> Xandros -> Pletakira -> Astyoche), and informing them to contact Adrian if there's any issues, "I have full confidence in you and your crew in executing the trip."

(sounds good, I'll get a scouting report up, I don't think anyone has been to Leucipp before)

(Beleive thats 3 days of downtime)

Adrian spends the next few days reading and maintaining his gear, speaking with the crew, and working out to stay in shape. Upon arriving in the Albadie system he pours over the reports, and composes a message back to the IA about the geon there and their plight after being raided, wondering if they could be relocated (should they choose to be) somewhere else since their planet's sun is dying. After sending the message he marks the system's location and directs the fleet on to their next destination - Laos. As much as he would like to explore and help them now, he has a mission he must focus on, and while the situation on the planet is unfortunate, it's not something that would prevent a route connecting the IA to the wider Iron Stars.
